The bulk of this dissertation focuses on D2 receptor-GIRK channel coupling. Chapter topics include how structural variants of the D2 receptor modulate G protein engagement, measurements of the time course of dopamine-D2 receptor functional interactions in the IPSC, and characterization of post-synaptic interactions between GABAB and D2 receptor signaling.
