To create a software tool that accurately reproduces eXtensible Markup Language (XML) format Electro-Anatomical Maps (EAMs) as a Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) image. This will allow cardiac images to be imported into the Varian Eclipse' treatment planning system (TPS) for more accurate planning at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). The DICOM EAMs were also used to perform a retrospective analysis of past ablative cardiac Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) treatments to assess plan quality. Ultimately the XML DICOM EAM mapping (XDEM) software tool will lead to better patient outcomes, more accurate treatment planning, and lower clinical cost.
